Dear Jen, Thank you very much for all your hard work and for allowing me to participate regarding your ‘Not My Kid Ever’ course. A fantastic course with great in-depth research, great advice and resource material. This kind of course should be available to every school, not just in Australia but all over the world and I feel that every parent, every child, especially though young teenagers. The world of technology is so fast and exciting, but with this comes vulnerability, i.e. making it more and more open to worries for parents and children, more accessible to those who wish to harm our children. Cyber bullying is on the rise and the impact it is having on all of us is becoming more and more relevant in the rise of mental illness and sadly also the rise in suicides in young children. We MUST wake up, we Must act and you have shown me and others who have participated, that it is more important than ever to become aware, to educate ourselves and with that hopefully make the world a better place to live. Great course, highly recommended
I liked this course because of the bite sized modules that were easy to understand and digest. That said, I kept going through the videos because it was so interesting! I also liked the fact that we learned the Why and then got the solutions with the How, as Jen explains in the introductory section. It was all laid out clearly and very easy to follow. I like Jen's delivery too, it was reassuring to know that despite the challenges there is absolutely things we can do to mitigate the problem. I think every parent and school should take this course.

All parents want to protect their children from harm. I felt like I was doing that to the best of my ability in real life but online world is a different story and I had no idea where to start! I didn’t want to stop my kids going online but I needed guidance on how to keep them safe. Not My Kid’s course was easy to fit in around my other commitments as I could listen as well as watch. Jen focuses on the key points in easily digestible short videos. She helps you to first understand the “why” by presenting current research and potential risks that our kids face online. She then provides clear, actionable advice in the last module. I was able to apply my learnings to suit my family and now feel more in control! I highly recommend this to any parent who is feeling overwhelmed when managing online safety.
